The album’s first single «Knife» - which was released in April - garnered BBC radio play and was critically lauded. Louder Than War wrote: “for those who don't know them yet, ‘Knife’ is a classic Lucidvox cut: replete with raga vocals and a revolving set of chord changes and time signatures"
The new single «Runaway» is a more atmospheric track, though no less compelling. Featuring a haunting vocal melody and widescreen textures (trumpet, electric piano), it is dedicated to the one who gets lost. The one who runs in fear of himself, and lives both passionately and thoughtlessly. The song cautions that it is sometimes better to stop moving so that one does not drive themselves into a cage.
Alina, who wrote the lyrics, wanted to warn her brother with these words. There were actions in his past that ultimately resulted in him going to prison.
