Earlier in 2020 Lang Lang realized a lifelong dream by recording Johann Sebastian Bach’s monumental keyboard work, the Goldberg Variations, often described as “a Musical Everest". “The more time I spent with the Goldberg Variations, the more I wanted to know about Bach, his contemporaries and the composers he later inspired,” explains Lang Lang. As a result Lang Lang is releasing a series of seven new recordings. They convey the tenderness and beauty of Bach’s melodic writing and complement the Goldberg Variations.
