From Rupert Holmes sipping pina coladas in the rain to Sheryl Crow soaking up the sun, some songs just bottle up that summer feeling. Add Ashe’s “Another Man’s Jeans” to the canon of sunny pop confections. More than all the songs the straw-haired singer has released (including those tender ballads of last year’s ‘Ashlyn’ album), her latest harnesses the carefree West Coast vibes of her birth state, California. For the video, she and her crew chased the warm weather to Mexico. But they had to make the trip a couple times, actually, after the first round of filming hit a tech snafu. Ashe has called the gal pal adventure a “film we made twice.” Happily, even with the intricacies of instrument looping and the singer's totally inspired choreo, this live version of “Another Man’s Jeans” was captured without a hitch. Same goes for the brutally honest "Hope You're Not Happy." Good vibes all around in Ashe Land these days.
