All Time Low - Dark Side Of You Room (Studio Performance)
Everyone in the scene knows it’s a prerequisite for bands to be just as capable in intimate, acoustic settings as they are at throwing their bodies into mosh pits. Being royalty in the genre, All Time Low are the kings of gettin’ it done both ways. With origins that travel all the way back to suburban Baltimore high school days, the boys have mastered the chameleon-like musicianship inherent to that mid aughts emo vibe. Previously, we dropped a studio version of “Some Kind of Disaster,” the band’s first new song in three years. In the recorded version, choruses climax with massive guitar fuzz and drum fills - portending incoming stage dives. In the studio, the song takes on a wholly different feel - teetering towards a self-effacing Irish drinking-song style. Today's performance is "Dark Side Of Your Room," from 2017's 'Last Young Renegade.' The quintet's effortless accord is exhibit A of their veteran musicianship; the angsty lyrics will invoke instant nostalgia for an entire generation.
